RALLY TRIAL FOLLOW UPS: Thank You From Head Ring Steward Judy Wagaman

 Good morning!

Thank you all so much for your time and commitment to the CFDTC Rally Trials - held this past weekend.  You all contributed to the smooth running of the trials, to the support of our judge Ted McCall, to the handlers and their dogs and to our Club.

I am so appreciative of your support to me during my first trial as Chief Ring Steward - and am looking forward to working with all of you again in the future.

Congratulations to those of you who also competed!

Judy

“Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made.”    Roger A. Caras (author and photographer)

Rally Trial Follow Up: Note From Judge Ted McCall

THANKS! It is such a pleasure to work with good people. I had a great time except for car problems! I made it to Winston Salem and had to replace the relay. Thank God I made it home and it is still going but its at the garage being worked on now!!!

Please let everyone know that I appreciate the kind words but it WORKS both ways!!!! You and your club is one of the BEST clubs in the AKC NOW!!!!

Thank you.

Your friend,

Ted

*For those that didn't know, Ted was having car trouble while he was here judging our Rally Trials. That is a situation that would annoy even the best of us. But, with Ted, you would never have known it, the way he welcomed and made it fun for every exhibitor. Thank you Ted, for another great weekend Trial.

**Also notable, Ted is one of the busiest judges in AKC Obedience, and we can be proud that he called us one of the BEST clubs.

Rally Trial Follow Up - Thank You From Trial Chair Roberta

 Hi,

Whew!!  Another successful trial event in the books!!!  Everyone should be patting themselves on the back for a job well done!! The trial this weekend went off with minimal hitches!! Just want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for all your time, energy and effort that made our spring rally trial a wonderful success.  We couldn't have had better weather!!!  And given the continued COVID protocol that necessitated numerous logistical changes, we did exceptionally well!!

To all the committee heads - I  want to extend a personal thank you to each of you for your EXCELLENT execution of the HUGE job each of you had with this trial weekend!!!   When there are very experienced and willing people heading up LARGE committees, you make it look so easy!

Trial Secretary (Kellie):  What can I say ..... What a terrific job you do as TRIAL SECRETARY!  You take on this job and handle each challenge (program, handlers, entries, covid waiver protocol, hiccups, etc) with confidence and calmness!!!

Chief Ring Steward (Judy):  I especially want to thank you for stepping up to take on a very new roll!  The steward coverage can be daunting!  The classes ran so efficiently.  Ted (judge) commented that he appreciated your assistance to make his ring run smoothly.

Trophy (Wendy):  The trophy coverage and display was well received by the exhibitors!   This is an enormous job that takes organization and patience.  The donated trophies were lovely!!!  There were many favorable comments from the exhibitors that were lucky enough to receive a prize!!

Raffles:  The Saturday basket raffle was won by club member, Shannon Hendrickson.  We made $103.

Sunday's 50/50 raffle winner was Anne Cunningham.  We took in $70.  She won $35 but only kept $15 and donated $20 back to the club.  Club profit:  $35 + $20 = $55.

Worker Baskets:  Please see the photos.  Kellie Page, Anne Talbot, Tracy West.  Congratulations!!

Thank you to all the club members that supported the various committees by helping with set up and take down  (HUGE thank you to Ken for doing all the heavy lifting!), stewarding, manning the check in and scoring tables, running the ringside table and timer jobs, and supporting the trial prizes (which are VERY WELL RECEIVED by the exhibitors!)!  Wanda put together beautiful baskets (both large and small) that everyone was eager to win.  We can't thank her enough for her incredible aesthetic eye!!

Our Judge, Ted McCall, commented with high praise about our club and in particular the spectacular and super efficient stewards each day. He said that he especially loves judging our trials because of how well it is run and the kindness of the exhibitors!!  Yes, we are a wonderful group of people and I am proud to be a member of the Cape Fear Dog Training Club!!

Congratulations to everyone that showed during our trials!!

THANK YOU!!

Roberta
