May Meeting Then Picnic

Bring an accompaniment

Club decided to award the Rally Dog of the Year and Obedience Dog of the Year at the May Meeting. Please mark your calendars to attend – and applaud the winners.

Thank you, Mary Groening for the work you do in compiling DOTY.

Thank you, Ken Yager and Chris White, for agreeing to set up the Grill and start cooking prior to the meeting, so the food will be ready once the meeting is done.

Thank you, Stephanie Roberson Thomas for coordinating the Accompaniment food with the Membership.

The Club will pay for the Burgers and Hot Dogs. Thank you, Ken Yager, for agreeing to shop for them prior.

Those with special diets or prefer a different entrée may bring what they wish, and Ken and Chris have agreed to grill it if desired. [PRO TIP – if you are bringing chicken, you may wish to cook it a little prior, or it will take 40-60 minutes by grill.]

Members will be asked to bring accompanying dishes, whether appetizer, vegetables, main courses, dessert or other. Ken will be sending out an email to follow up on this. The Meeting will begin at 2 PM.

COMMUNITY SERVICE at METHODIST

Roberta Pylate, Claudia Williams, Jeannie Rappoli, and Janet Pike attended the Methodist University Event with their Black Lab, Yellow Lab, Shelties and Greyhounds respectively. They were a huge hit with the kids. They talked about what our club does.

The dogs got a lot of petting. And they handed out a lot of coloring sheets for the children.

Thank you, Roberta, Claudia, Jeannie, Janet, and your dogs, for being such wonderful club ambassadors.

NEW MEMBERS PACKET

Jeannie Roppoli has printed out the new Membership Book and Bylaws. She also put together a “New Member Welcome Kit,” which contains the Member Book, bylaws, Pens, Treats, and a Welcome Letter.

Thank you, Jeannie, for stepping up to this task! It is so important that new members can easily access club information so they can benefit from all our club has to offer.
